CASEA Bauprotec 850 M – Lightweight Lime Cement Render was selected for the external render of this fabulous new house by Smet Supported Partner, Remark Plastering Ltd. They machine-applied the Lightweight CE marked Lime Cement Render using their state-of-the-art spray rendering/plastering machine. Bauprotec 850 M is manufactured from a controlled blend of selected aggregates, lightweight aggregates, cement, polymers, fibres, and other components to give a high-quality weather-resistant rendering product that is suitable for use in external rendering and internal plastering. Bauprotec 850 M is a factory-produced Lightweight Lime Cement Render specially designed for machine or hand application produced to EN 998-1: 2010. Bauprotec 850 M is incredibly versatile and very user-friendly. It’s suitable for use in all suitable spray rendering machines (e.g. G 4, G 5, m3, S 48, MP25, SP11) and can be transported on all pneumatic conveyor systems. The product’s special composition allows the product to breathe and also permits constant hygrometric exchange between the substrate and the environment. The special render properties; lightweight, low thermal conductivity, high yield, and Smet Supported Partner superior technical backup, are the key factors in choosing SMET Render spec products. We supplied our Smet Supported partner, McDaid Screeding with 600m2 SMET LiteFlo® Lightweight Flowing Screed for The Bullring Shopping Centre, in Birmingham. This was poured prior to the industrial levelling screed. This lightweight screed is ideal for renovation projects and where loading may be an issue. This is a high-quality pumpable, factory-produced, CE-marked, self-levelling screed based on calcium sulphate. German-made SMET LiteFlo® is unique because it’s the first pumpable lightweight flowing screed ever available. Made from specially selected aggregates – means it’s 30% lighter than even conventional flowing screeds and can be laid in reduced thicknesses. The screed offers a high yield, 43kg per m2 @ 40mm.
Innovative SMET LiteFlo® is absolutely ideal for application in high-rise buildings, over timber-suspended floors, timber-frame houses, and in new builds and renovations. It’s made from specially selected aggregates, which makes it 30% lighter than conventional flowing screeds and 70% lighter than sand and cement, meaning less material is required per m2. On behalf of Poplar Investments Ltd, the principal building contractor, Kelly Bros. was tasked with the mammoth renovation project of Wilton House comprising of 15 Luxury Apartments, in-situ concrete frame, brick and render & Zinc standing seam Facade, completed with a flat roof. WHY USE LIME-BASED RENDER AND PLASTER? SMET’s bauprocalc products are CE-marked, factory-produced hydraulic hardening skim coat plasters and render based on lime, specially designed for hand and machine application produced to DIN EN 998-1. bauprocalc KG and bauprocalc 830 contribute to a healthy internal atmosphere. They are an excellent alternative to plaster and renders containing gypsum or patent cement which have less vapour permeable qualities. They are ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and rooms where high humidity levels are expected. bauprocalc KG produces a mortar that is softer than cement mortar. After the initial set, stability and strength gradually build up over time, allowing enough flexibility to cope with minor settlement or movement in the building during this period, thereby reducing the risk of cracking. bauprocalc 830 has unique properties, making it suitable for application on low, medium, and high-density substrates, especially suited for renovating old /listed buildings and ecological new builds. Good vapour permeability performance allows an unhindered transference of excess internal moisture through the building to the outside, thereby contributing significantly to a balanced and healthy internal atmosphere. This was so fast track we started at 7 pm and finished at 10 pm. Our unique Fast Track Screed is a pneumatically pumpable, high-quality, rapid drying, levelling floor screed material based on sand, cement, and Sopro Rapidur® EB5 screed accelerator. This screed is unique in that it allows early use of floor and early final floor covering installations. It’s mixed using Portland Cement, sand, fibres, Sopro Rapidur® EB5 screed accelerator and water. It’s factory-produced on-site by our state-of-the-art mobile screed factory. Our floor screed complies with the requirements of BS EN 13813:2002 and BS 8204: Part 1 and can be used for bonded, unbonded, and floating floor screed constructions for both residential and commercial applications.
