This CE marked, self-smoothing, self-levelling screed is the most technologically-advanced floor screed available, complying with the performance requirements of EN 13813. Südanit 280 Alpha Hemihydrate Screed’s advanced composition means that it reacts with water quickly – providing consistent, reliable drying characteristics and considerably faster drying times – enabling following trades to proceed without delay.
The client uses their Fast Floor Screed Mobile Screed Factory – it’s is a unique system. The lorry mounted rigs carry our Sudanit 280 Alpha Hemihydrate binder, sand & aggregates and water in separate compartments. The automatic production process ensures materials are precisely weighed, fed to the mixing bin and into the pump for easy, mess-free installation. This ensures the Mobile Screed Factory produces Sudanit 280 Alpha Hemihydrate floor screed to a consistently high quality. The unique bespoke re-load hydraulic screw for sand & aggregates ensures excellent daily output is achieved. Plus, for convenience, there are a number of pre-programmed mix designs to choose from delivering screed floors from C20 to C35. LiteFlo® is a high-quality, innovative, pumpable factory produced, CE marked, self-levelling screed based on calcium sulphate. German-made LiteFlo® is unique, in that it’s the first pumpable lightweight flowing screed. Made from specially selected aggregates, makes it 30% lighter than conventional flowing screeds and therefore 70% lighter than traditional sand & cement – ultimately this means less is required per m2. Another plus is that screed made from Calcium Sulphate has naturally substantially lower embodied carbon emissions than a sand and cement screed.

Smet Supported Partner, McCallion Construction Group, applied the Lightweight CE marked Lime Cement Render, produced to EN 998-1: 2003, internally and to external facade. Bauprotec 850 M is manufactured from a controlled blend of selected aggregates, lightweight aggregates, cement, polymers, fibres and other components to give a high-quality weather resistant rendering product which is suitable for use in external rendering and internal plastering. The product’s special composition allows the product to breathe and also permits constant hygrometric exchange between the substrate and the environment. The special render properties; light weight, low thermal conductivity, high yield and Smet Supported Partner superior technical backup, were the key factors in choosing Smet Building Products in delivering high-quality product to MCCallion Construction.
