CASEA Bauprocalc KG – Hydraulic Lime Based Skim Coat Plaster
CASEA Bauprocalc KG is a CE-marked, factory-produced hydraulic hardening skim coat plaster based on lime, specially designed for hand and machine application produced to DIN EN 998-1. Bauprocalc KG is part of the CLEAN WALL® Healthy Living System.
Bauprocalc KG contributes to a healthy internal atmosphere. It’s an excellent alternative to plaster containing gypsum or patent cement that have less vapour permeable qualities. It’s ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and other rooms where high humidity levels are expected. Bauprocalc KG produces a mortar that is softer than cement mortar. After the initial set, stability and strength gradually build up over time; allowing enough flexibility to cope with minor settlement or movement in the building during this period, thereby reducing the risk of cracking. Good vapour permeability performance allows an unhindered transference of excess internal moisture through the building to the outside, thereby contributing significantly to a balanced and healthy internal atmosphere.
It is manufactured from a controlled blend of selected aggregates, hydraulic, and building lime to EN 459-1 and other components to give a high-quality rendering product that is suitable for use in internal plastering. The unique properties of this render make it suitable for application on low, medium, and high-density substrates, for the renovation of old or listed buildings and ecological new builds. Finish Skim Coat for final finishing where a smooth finish is required. The product’s special composition allows the product to breathe and also permits constant hygrometric exchange between the substrate and the environment.
