Casuprim HB Bonding Primer
Casuprim HB Bonding Primer, produced by our German manufacturer CASEA, is a fast-drying, solvent-free dispersion-based primer incorporating silica sand for gypsum-based machine and hand applied plasters on concrete or similar low suction, smooth substrates. Casuprim HB is dyed green for easy identification of primed substrates. Casuprim HB is breathable, low odour and alkali resistant. Casuprim HB is also suitable as a primer on CA and CT screed substrates to receive
Casuprim HB is dyed green for easy identification of primed substrates. Casuprim HB is breathable, low odour and alkali resistant. Casuprim HB is also suitable as a primer on CA and CT screed substrates to receive Causufloor DE and Casufloor FS compounds.
Benefits CASEA Casuprim HB Bonding Primer
• ready-to-use and quick-drying
• ideal for pre-cast concrete substrates
• for walls and floors
• EC1PLUS very low emissionPLUS
• for indoor use
Field of Application and suitable substrates Casuprim HB Bonding Primer
Casuprim HB is used where concrete substrates are plastered using a gypsum-based plaster. Priming with Casuprim HB decreases the deleterious reaction between concrete and gypsum (ettringite formation) and provides the applied plaster with a good key and adhesion. At the same time the absorption capacity of the concrete is balanced. Maximum permissible moisture content of the concrete substrate should be < 3% CM. The substrate must be sound, dry, clean, and free of efflorescence, laitance, release agents and any other contaminants that may prevent proper adhesion.
Application Casuprim HB Bonding Primer
Casuprim HB may be applied by brush, roller or fine spray gun. When applied by machine spray application, Casuprim HB may be diluted with a small amount of water in order to achieve the correct spraying consistency. Before use Casuprim HB should be stirred vigorously. A bucket (20 kg) is sufficient for about 100 square meters, depending on the nature of the substrate.
