The historic St Patricks Church in Donabate, received an internal facelift when main contractor was employed to renovate the internal plaster this old church in Co Dublin.  A natural mixture of Natural Hydraulic Lime and Natural Hydraulic Lime binders were utilised in this specialised project.  NHL is a high quality pure Natural Hydraulic Lime binder, produced under an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 quality system to EN 459-1.  NHL Binders are particularly suited for ecological new build, restoration and preservation works. SMET NHL 3.5 & NHL 5 binders were specially selected for the restoration of the historical Warrenpoint Parish Church, Church of Ireland.  As part of the sympathetic restoration, the traditional Church tower was restored and the exterior render reinstated using SMET high quality pure Natural Hydraulic Lime binders: SMET NHL 5 & SMET NHL 3.5. The selective hydraulic strength development of NHL binders make them particularly suitable for producing lime mortars for masonry work and rendering & plastering on historical buildings and monuments.

Bauprocalc KG Hydraulic Lime Based Skim Coat and NHL 3.5 & NHL 5 Binders were specially selected for the repointing and render/plaster finish of the unique renovation of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Lislea, Co Armagh.

External walls were restored with lime plaster using high quality pure Natural Hydraulic Lime binders: NHL 5 & NHL 3.5. The selective hydraulic strength development of NHL binders make them particularly suitable for producing lime mortars for masonry work, rendering and plastering. NHL binders, available from SMET and distribution partner Haldane Fisher, are particularly suited for ecological new build, restoration and preservation works. Internal walls were restored using Bauprocalc KG/FP Lime Based Skimming Plaster after application of the NHL 3.5 base coat. The unique properties of Bauprocalc KG/FP such as; high water vapour permeability (breathability), sustainability, machine application and quality credentials (produced to DIN EN 998-1: 2003. and CE marked), were key drivers in the selection of this conservation plastering system. Local building firm, Johnston Construction, in partnership with J.L. O’Hagan & Co. Architects, were able to conveniently source all products locally from Newry Haldane Fisher.
