SMET Reduces Energy Intensity per Tonne of CO2e

SMET is committed to continually reducing environmental impacts associated with the transport of its goods and people involved in its operations.  SMET measures its significant impacts and records how these are mitigated, and it also calculates its Greenhouse gas Emissions.

The graph below shows a reduction in Energy intensity per Tonne of CO2e in all areas of Diesel Fuel, Plastic Waste, Electricity, and Oil in 2023 v’s 2022.♻️

In 2023, Smet Building Products Ltd was awarded certification to BES 6001 ♻ by BSI which enables manufacturers and suppliers to ensure and then prove that their products have been made with constituent materials that have been responsibly sourced.  The standard describes a framework for the organisational governance, supply chain management, and environmental and social aspects that must be addressed to ensure the responsible sourcing of construction products.
