The new courthouse consisting of two courtrooms and associated facilities was built on a landmark town centre site adjacent to the River Boyne. It’s one of BAM’s 7 projects for The Court Bundle Public-Private Partnership (PPP) that will see the construction and refurbishment of seven landmark courthouses across Ireland by end 2017.
The rapid drying floor made with German-made Rapidur® B5 Rapid Drying Screed Binder, is a special polymer-modified binder for particularly economical production of high-strength, rapid-set cement screed – based on DIN 18560 – allowing early floor installation. Rapidur® B5 is suitable for use on heated screeds, bonded screeds, unbonded screeds and floating screeds. This flooring solution is particularly useful for fast-track or tightly scheduled screed laying. The newly laid Rapidur® B5 screed floor is ready to receive floor covering after approx. 3 days – after achievement of moisture content ≤ 1.8 % CM. Südanit 300 Anhydrite Binder is a specially formulated calcium sulphate binder suitable for the production of top quality self levelling (flowing) floor screeds, simply by blending with a suitable sand and water on site or in a ready mix plant. Südanit 300 Anhydrite Binder complies with EN 13454-1: 2004 and is CE marked. Südanit 300 Screed is suitable for floors in homes, offices, public buildings and places exposed to similar loads. Südanit 300 Screed may be applied as a levelling screed directly onto a load bearing floor, unbonded on a separating barrier (polythene), as a floating floor and is particularly suited in conjunction with underfloor heating or cavity floors. When dry, Südanit 300 Screed should be covered with a floor finish such as tiles, linoleum, parquet, cork or carpet. If a cement-based adhesive or smoothing compound is required the surface of the screed must first be sealed, using an appropriate acrylic primer/sealer. The screed’s advanced composition means it provides consistent, reliable drying characteristics, absolute flat, plane surfaces and considerably faster drying times – enabling following trades to proceed without delay.
