We’re giving nature and people a chance to thrive at Mourne Park – an incredibly rare piece of Northern Ireland’s remaining ancient woodland, by donating to the Woodland Trust Mourne Park NI Appeal Fundraiser on Nov 22.
“The local Newry community in which our staff and families live is the bedrock of our society, and the work done by our voluntary, community groups and charities in our local community makes key differences to people’s lives by enhancing emotional health and well-being. Supporting local charities, clubs and their causes is very important to SMET.
We diligently supported a wide variety of causes over the years to a budget of approx. £1,750 per year”.
Joris Smet, Managing Director SMET

Delighted to host and raise much-needed funds for this important charity. Cancer Research UK is a charity close to our hearts, sadly but we are thrilled to raise a decent sum in SMET for the cause.
Damolly F.C. U12’s hard at it in Ayr last weekend at ESF Festival of Football – Ayr 2018 – the UK’s biggest youth football festival. With 1200 teams and 40,000 people participating it was a great festival of football for the Under 12’s.
It’s always a pleasure to sponsor and support local teams. Well done to the organising committee!
Newry-based Windsor Hill Primary School champions innovation in primary school ICT with a fun after-school Coding Club and the appointment of pupil Digital Leaders.
SMET was delighted to be a sponsor of the Santa Run in Newry on behalf of Autism Mum’s, a very important charity and close to our hearts.
