As the appointed plastering contractor, Gerard Doherty Plastering Ltd applied the LIDL External Render System using a machine application method. Externally, bauprotec FLP Plus, a lightweight render, was applied to Poroton blocks. For key coat application onto mass concrete and insulated plinths, bauprotec RHS Multi-Purpose Render was utilised. This particular LIDL render spec, available from SMET, consisted of the following two products: bauprotec RHS Multi-Purpose Render is a CE-marked, factory-produced, highly polymer-modified render specially designed for hand and machine application, produced to EN 998-1: 2010. bauprotec FLP Plus – Ultra Lightweight Fibre Render is a factory-produced, highly efficient, lightweight mineral lime cement render, produced to EN 998-1, specifically designed for high-insulating masonry for interior and exterior use, with excellent working properties.
