High quality, low maintenance, Onexit Universal Render in through-colour 710 was selected as the façade solution for this newly constructed Insulated Concrete Formwork house, supplied by Amvic ICF, in Sandyford Dublin 16. Construction was completed by main contractor, Nicon Construction Ireland. Smet supported partners Nicon Construction, applied SHG Bauprotec RHS E polymer modified basecoat & all associated beads & mesh with a finish coat of high quality, Onexit Universal Lighweight render 710, to the exterior of the newly built ICF home. Onexit Universal is produced to EN 998-1 and its unique properties such as: low maintenance, through-coloured and high yield, along with the superior technical support provided by Smet Building Products Ltd, were the key factors in selecting this façade system. Smet Building Products in partnership with Smet Supported Partner, Northstone (NI) Ltd, supplied BS 7533 compliant bedding course, jointing and priming mortars for the Banbridge Public Realm regeneration scheme, comprising of regeneration and laying of granite paving. The project was installed in Rathfriland Street, a prime city centre location. As part of the project, SMET supplied High Strength Bedding Concrete, the company’s BS7533 compliant bedding concrete. This is a superior quality – polymer modified High-Strength Bedding Concrete, manufactured under an ISO 9001 quality controlled environment; using dried sands, lime, cement and additives, specially designed to meet or exceed the requirements of BS 7533 part 7:2010. The product is used for bedding natural stone flags, cobbles and setts, clay and concrete pavers in a rigid construction. CE marked Südanit 280 Alpha Hemi Hydrate Screed is suitable for floors in homes, offices, public buildings and places exposed to similar loads. Südanit 280 Alpha Hemihydrate Screed may be applied as a levelling screed directly onto a load bearing floor, unbonded on a separating barrier (polythene), or as a floating floor and is particularly suited in conjunction with underfloor heating or cavity floors. Südanit 280 Alpha Hemi Hydrate Screed can then be covered with a floor finish such as tiles, linoleum, parquet, cork or carpet- producing perfectly falt floors every time.
