DescriptionWe were delighted to have specified and provided technical support for an exceptional project recently completed at York Terrace, London, featuring the Sopro SMART® Flooring Renovation System. The installation was expertly carried out by our Smet Supported Partner, McDaid Screeding Services Ltd, on behalf of the Principal Contractor, London Projects Ltd. The project was designed by Thomas Croft Architects and encompassed a total floor area of 500 m². Products specified and installed:
Sopro SMART® Lightweight Flooring Renovation System is a fast-track, lightweight, void-forming floor renovation system. The key benefits of the system, developed specifically for the refurbishment and renovation sector, are SMART®: Strong, Mineral, Airy, Rapid, and True. At its core is the new Sopro LZ 987 SMART® lightweight aggregate, a non-combustible, mineral material made from expanded glass granulate. Sopro LZ 987 is mixed with Sopro Rapidur® B5 rapid-set screed binder to produce moisture-resistant, thermally and sound-insulating, lightweight levelling layers with low area loads and lasting dimensional stability.
